If finding love online is what you're after then the most important thing you can do is to get out there and network with fellow singles. Visit dating sites and picture personals sites otherwise finding love online simply isn't going to happen for you. A quick search on the Internet will find you plenty of sites like this, in fact if you wait around long enough without a pop up blocker on and you won't even need to search. Finding love online couldn't be easier, there are so many sites that are literally jam packed full of hopeful singles that it may be easier not finding love online.

You can never have enough friends.

In your quest of finding love online it is very important not to concentrate on the fact that your are trying to find love but concentrate on making friends and if you do find your soul mate then that's fantastic but not guaranteed. As in real life if you go out looking for love then there's an imminent danger of looking desperate and having very little success. Finding love online involves taking your time getting to know people, chatting online, sending emails and finding out as much as you can about the other person.

Don't just jump into the first cyber relationship that comes your way. You could be sat on the other side of the world to the person you are chatting to or they could be from next door but one, but finding love online will only come easily if you relax and have fun. That's what it's all supposed to be about after all.

Don't lie to look good.

I know there is a strong temptation to embellish the truth but if you're serious about finding love online then don't do it. Your little lies will catch up with in the end and they normally have a really nasty way of doing so. If you have to lie to attract someone then perhaps you should be looking for a different someone to chat to. Finding love online is about being honest and being yourself.

If you want to one day meet your online partner and maybe take the relationship to the next level there is no way carrying on the lie about being six foot four and captain of your former school football team. Conversely, if you think someone you are talking to is lying to you perhaps you're best out of there at the start but don't believe that just because they're on the Internet means they've got no life away from the computer screen.

It's quite possible that you could be talking to the American rock climbing champion or the lead singer from a good but relatively unknown rock band. You just never know and although there are undoubtedly people on these sites, if you're serious about finding love online, you're going to have to trust someone at some time.
